mark imbeault

His life began in Newport, Rhode Island on March 24, 1963. Early on, he recognized his innate ability at using artistic expression to understand the world before him. He pursued a variety of artistic avenues throughout his educational career, including advertising layout and design, as well as murals and school newspaper illustrations; winning both state and national contests. The period following his graduation from high school was a time of self-realization and great personal growth. He soon ventured to Texas where he began a career designing commercial logos, illustrations and signage. There came to life the greatest of his creations, two children. Understanding the paramount position he held in their lives, he guided them by his own mindful and thorough manner, always walking a path of honor and leading by example. In 1989, he moved his family to Arizona where he continued to pursue a career in advertising for local and national companies. More significant at this time was the focus on the upbringing of his children. As they were maturing, there was an obvious shift within him to phase from commercial art to a more expressive form of creativity. An evolution into the Fine Arts found him advancing his skills through local drawing, painting and life drawing classes, which brought about an appreciation for a diverse form of expressions using various mediums. This natural progression manifested from having gained extensively from life lessons in understanding, reason and intent. His passion for life is evident in his ability to express himself through his learned values. Observation skills are evident in his nature, by which he conveys a logical message of good and the cardinal need to do well for humanity. He is an extremely dedicated and conscientious individual who believes strongly in the positive value of the human spirit. When you step into Imbeau Gallery, you immediately get a common sense for the man; simplistic, efficient, confident, yet humble... a true artisan.
